Adamant, my second piece for orchestra, is a short work that channels different moods set over a consistent driving energy. I have been told that the sound of the piece is reminiscent of film music.

Intermediate difficulty, suitable for strong high school level or above. 5 minutes, 40 seconds.

Instrumentation: 2 flutes (2nd doubles piccolo), 2 oboe, clarinet in Eb, 2 clarinets in Bb, 2 bassoons, 3 horns in F, 2 trumpets in Bb, 2 trombones, timpani, 2 percussion (triangle, bass drum, cymbals, tam-tam, vibraphone), piano, celesta, strings (4:4:4:2:2, minimum)

The piece was premiered by the Lehigh University Philharmonic in May of 2012.
